The Owls Fought Hard Until the End, 2-0

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men's soccer team fought hard the entire match Sunday afternoon. Despite the effort, the Owls could not come out with a win falling 2-0 versus LaGrange College. With the loss, The W brings its season record to 3-7-1.

Jakob Williams, senior goalkeeper, defended the Owls goal for the entire 90-minute match. During those 90 minutes, the Moorpark, CA. native prevented six goals while allowing two.

Offensively, Josh Martin led the team in shots tallying four shots for The W to lead the effort. Kyle Rodriguez, Jacob Thomas, and Michael Ledbetter all recorded one shot on goal to aid in the Owls offensive effort.  

The Owls will have three days for improvements before they travel to Jackson, Miss. to take on Belhaven University on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
