Box Score HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Senior guard Briona Green led the Owls women's basketball team in a competition against Rust College Saturday afternoon. In the second road game of the week, the Columbus, Miss. native put up double-digits to head The W's offense. In the 83-29 loss, Green recorded 12 points with five rebounds and an assist.

Newcomer Emma Hicks led the Owls in rebounds to bring down six boards. She was followed by Green and sophomore guard Jasmine Shaw with five each.

With such a short turnaround from Thursday night's loss to Judson, The W was limited on the time it had to fix issues seen in its first game. The Owls went 8-for-42 from the field as a team, including 6-for-20 in the three-point range and 7-for-10 at the free-throw line.

The Owls will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 4, when they host Judson College. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
