INDIANAPOLIS, In. – The Owls volleyball team traveled to Indianapolis to participate in the AVCA Division III Invitational hosted by The Academy Friday, April 9 – Saturday, April 10. The W faced four other teams in the two-day tournament to close the Spring 2021 season.

"I am very proud of the way our team performed during the tournament," said head coach Brooke Carter. "They played at a level we haven't played at all season! I am excited about the potential next year with this group of ladies. They worked hard and never let up even with the chance of covid impacting our season.

"I am especially proud of our seniors, who are the first group to play all four seasons since the return of athletics. They will probably never understand the importance of their impact on this program and Owls Athletics. We are grateful for all the blood, sweat, and tears they have poured into this program."

The Owls were competitive throughout the tournament but were unable to pick up a win. On the first day, the Owl lost 2-0 to Millikin University (25-14, 25-10), Webster University (25-20, 25-12), and the University of Dubuque (25-14, 27-25). On day two, The W faced Greenville University for a best three out of five. The Owls fell 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-15)
