Box Score McKENZIE, Tenn. – Mississippi University for Women Volleyball ran into a red-hot foe at Bethel University and took a 3-0 loss on the road. The Owls (7-14) lost by set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-15 to a Wildcats (19-6) team that has won three-straight, and seven of its last eight.
 
Versus the strong Bethel front, The W attackers were held to 16 kills for the match (compared to 43 by the hosts). The Owls were led by four kills, apiece, from Maggie Griggs and Amonie Silas. Griggs hit a team-best .231 for the match.
 
Micaela Hudgins and Llayne Skinner each contributed three kills.
 
Hannah Duran had a team-high nine assists. Karmen McCrory added three "helps."
 
Junior libero Maddy Suggs anchored the back row with 10 digs. Skinner and Silas had six and three digs, respectively.
 
Silas, Hudgins and Jasmine Kelly each were credited with a block, as well.
 
The Owls will next be in action on Monday (Oct. 24) at Lane College, with a 6 p.m. start time.
