PITTSBURGH, Penn. - Mississippi University for Women freshman baseball standout Landon Clark (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Sipsey Valley H.S.) has been selected as a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American honorable mention, it was announced by the national office. Clark was a second baseman/right-handed pitcher for the Owls.

Clark led The W with a .333 batting average (29-87), appearing in 27 games and with 23 starts. He had a team-leading six homeruns and a .563 slugging percentage. He was second on the squad with 20 runs batted in, had two doubles, and scored 15 runs, as well. Clark had a .942 OPS for 2022.

From the mound, Clark made six relief appearances – totaling 10.1 innings pitched – and did not permit a run to score against him, on his way to a 2-0 record. He struck out 11, walked just two and he permitted just six singles during the year. Opponents hit a minuscule .162 against him.

"I am very happy for Landon," MUW Head Coach Scott Mularz said. "He stepped in and did what we asked of him, whether at the plate or on the hill. I'm excited to see his game continue to grow and develop over the coming years."
