Box Score COLUMBUS, Miss. - Sophomore
Conley Langford posted the second-best scoring game in the Mississippi University for Women's modern era, but it was not enough in an 86-75 setback versus Warren Wilson College.
Langford finished with 43 points.. Langford was 14-of-25 from the field and 10-for-11 from the free throw line. She also had the second-best game rebound total for the Owls, hauling in 22 boards. The 43 points was second only to
Rokila Wallace's 47 points last season at Birmingham-Southern.

Langford made three steals, as well.
Freshman teammate
Jas Patrick added 23 points, as both she and Langford out-scored any individual from WWC. Like Langford, Patrick did not come off the floor at all on Saturday (and has played every minute of the 2022-23 season). Patrick grabbed five rebounds, had two steals, and a game-high five assists.
The most poignant moment of the game was a tremendous display of sportsmanship – and respect – after MUW honored its lone senior
MG Chamberlain in pre-game ceremonies. Chamberlain, who had what is presumed to be career-ending surgery on her twice repaired knee again last week.
Chamberlain suited up Saturday and stepped on the court one final time for her Senior Day.
By pre-arrangement of the coaches, WWC won the tip off and made an uncontested basket to open the game. To reciprocate, WWC allowed Chamberlain to score her final collegiate points at the other end on a layup, after which The W Head Coach
Drew Johnson took a timeout and subbed for Chamberlain, allowing her to receive a deserved ovation from the crowd as she left a basketball court as a player for the final time.
When the game took shape in earnest, the MUW Owls and WWC Owls gave the fans a spirited battle. There were two lead changes and nine ties in the game.
