ST. PAUL, Minn. – A total of 10 student-athletes from The W tennis have been cited by the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) on its Academic All-Conference Team. Seven members of the Owls' women's team were honored, as well as three from the men's squad.
Individuals who earn a 3.5 or better grade point average (GPA) or better during their respective semesters of competition are recognized with the prestigious individual honor.
"I am very proud of our players for getting it done in the classroom," interim head coach
Brian Merkel said. "It takes a tremendous amount of discipline to handle the rigors of practice, travel, and matches, while also maintaining a high level of success with a full-time academic load."
