The W Baseball quartet earns Academic All-District® honors

COLUMBUS, Miss. – A total of four members of The W baseball squad have been named to the 2025 NCAA Division III Academic All-District® Baseball team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Honored from the Owls' program were Landon Clark (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), Tyler Estabrook (Lake Tahoe, California), Campbell McCluney (Chelsea, Ala.), and Matthew Windham (Calera, Ala.).  Clark, Estabrook, and Windham are all repeat selections as CSC Academic All-District® from 2024, as well.

The CSC Academic All-District® awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.

Clark, a senior utility player (pitcher/1B/2B/DH) and an accounting major, adds the CSC academic honor to his burgeoning list of accolades for 2025. The list includes ABCA All-American (2nd team), D3Baseball.com All-American (5th team), 1st team all-region (ABCA & D3Baseball.com), 1st team All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), SLIAC Championships All-Tournament, SLIAC All-Academic Team, and MUW Athletics Male Owl of the Year.

From the mound, Clark led the Owls with a 3.19 earned run average, posting a record of 7-2. He topped the team with 67.2 innings pitched and 70 strikeouts (to just 25 walks). Opponents had a paltry .224 batting average against him during his 13 appearances on the mound.

In the field, Clark amassed a .385 batting average (50-130), which ranked second on the MUW team. Clark scored 41 runs and drove in 29, as well. He had 17 extra-base hits - 9 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 home runs – while also drawing a team-best 28 walks. He had a .615 slugging percentage and a team-leading .506 on-base average. Clark also went 11-for-14 in steal attempts.

Clark's credentials for 2025 were considered good enough to advance him to the CSC Academic All-American® ballot for consideration for national honors, due to be announced later this month.

Estabrook, a senior shortstop and business administration major, hit .285 (39-137) and was the lone Owls' player to start all 38 games this season. Estabrook had six doubles and a triple, while scoring 33 runs and driving in 19 more. He drew 18 walks and was hit by a pitch a team-leading 12 times, helping him to a .413 on-base average. Estabrook was also named to the SLIAC All-Academic team for 2025.

McCluney, a junior pitcher and kinesiology major, posted a 5-0 record on the mound and a 4.88 earned run average. McCluney amassed 48.0 innings over his team-high 15 appearances in 2025, including three starts and one save to his credit. He struck out 28 opponents and walked 18, earning All-SLIAC second team and SLIAC All-Academic honors.

Windham, a junior outfielder and business (sports management) major, posted another outstanding season for The W. Windham batted .310 (40-129), with a team-best 42 runs scored. Windham rolled up 12 extra-base hits (12 doubles, one triple, and one home run) and drove in 26 runs. He drew 28 walks and had seven sacrifice hits, both topping the Owls in those categories. He was also selected for the SLIAC All-Academic Team for 2025.
