The W cross country announces 2025 schedule

COLUMBUS, Miss. -  The W women's and men's cross country teams have released their 2025 schedules. The Owls will have a total of four regular-season meets, along with the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) championships.

All of MUW's competitions will be on the road.

The W opens up on Friday, August 29 at the Jacksonville State University Foothills Invitational. Contested at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama, the race will be five kilometers for both the men (5:30 p.m.) and women (6:15 p.m.).

Next up will be the Mississippi College Opener on the Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Miss., on September 5. The women step off first (6:15 p.m.), followed by the men (6:45 p.m.). Both are 5K races.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, the Owls will take flight to Memphis, Tennessee, for the Rhodes College Invitational. The men's 8K will be run first (8 a.m.), followed by the women's 5K (8:45 a.m.)

On Friday, October 17, The W will return to the Choctaw Trails of Mississippi College for the Watson Collegiate Classic. The men's 8K is up at 8 a.m., with the women stretching it out to a 6K race at 8:45 a.m.

The SLIAC championships on November 1 will cap the regular campaign, being run in St. Louis, Missouri. Should any MUW runners qualify, the NCAA III South Regional is on Nov. 15, followed by the NCAA III national championships on Nov. 22.
