Taylor repeats as All-SLIAC for women’s soccer

BELLEVILLE, Ill. -   The W's Kiersten Taylor (Pearl River, La.) has been named a third-team All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) women's soccer selection, it has been announced. Taylor is the only player in Owls' history to repeat as an All-SLIAC selection.

A senior midfielder, Taylor was also a first-team All-SLIAC pick in 2024 as a sophomore. She did not play the 2025 season, but rejoined the program this season for her final year. In all, MUW has a total of five All-SLIAC awards in its four seasons in the conference and none since 2024.

"Kiersten is an unreal player," The W Head Coach, Valerie Greer, said."Her ability to predict and read the field is truly a gift. Coming back after taking a year off, she was able to hop in like she never left and, overall, play a vital role in completing our midfield trio, which included Emma Hall and Abby Warchus, as well.

In 2026, Taylor led MUW with three assists and a goal. Her goal was the match-winning tally versus Agnes Scott College.

Taylor also had the third-best shots-on-goal percentage on the Owls' team. She took 24 attempts and put 16 of them on frame (67 percent).

Additionally, senior teammate Adayah Wood (Hazlehurst, Miss.) was cited on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Wood is a defender who came to the Owls via Hinds Community College.
