COLUMBUS, Miss. -  The W freshman pitcher Trinity Garvin (Olive Branch, Miss./Northpoint Christian HS) picked up her second St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Pitcher of the Week award, covering the period of March 23-29, 2026. The Owls' righty also garnered the SLIAC's weekly award for February 8-15, 2026, as well.

Garvin collected her first-ever collegiate shutout on Saturday in game one of MUW's sweep over Westminster College, 3-0. In her 7.0 innings of work, Garvin permitted the Blue Jays just two hits, both singles, and struck out two, without walking a batter. She faced just three batters over the minimum for the game.

As dominant as Garvin was in the circle, she was equally as effective with the bat for The W.  In the doubleheader, Garvin was 4-for-7 at the plate (.571), scored three runs, and drove in three more. It was Garvin's two-run, bases-loaded single that knocked in the tying runs in the bottom of the seventh. That set the stage for teammate MC Brown's walk-off, three-run home run in the very next at-bat, of the 8-5 win.
