Owls’ Owen owns SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for April 6-12

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W softball's Addison Owen (Pontotoc, Miss./Pontotoc H.S./Northwest Mississippi C.C.) has earned the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Hitter of the Week award, it was announced by the league office. The weekly honor covers the period of games between April 6-12, 2026, during which time the Owls' team was 4-0 and perched, alone, atop the SLIAC standings (at 8-0 in conference).

This week's award marks the second time this season that Owen has won the honor, also being recognized on February 8-15. In all, the Owls' softball program has received four SLIAC weekly accolades, thus far, in 2026.

In MUW's pair of doubleheader sweeps over both Lyon College (April 10) and Eureka College (April 12), Owen batted .733 (11-15), with a .722 on-base average, as well as a 1.067 slugging percentage. She collected three doubles and a triple, including a 5-for-5 game versus EC.
