COLUMBUS, Miss. - First-year head men's soccer coach
Louis Alexander adds 12 new student-athletes to the 2020 roster. The newcomers consist of one senior, nine juniors, and two freshmen from four countries and two states.
Xavier Harrison | FR | Defender | Columbus, MS | New Hope HS
Xavier is a local student-athlete who joins the Owls men's soccer team after playing for New Hope High School. As a Trojan, the freshman defender was named to the All-District First team as a high school senior and was voted most improved as a junior. His fondest playing memory was beating rival Caledonia High School his senior year 2-1 in overtime to make it to the playoffs. Xavier will study criminal justice here at The W.
Terrell Johnson | JR | Midfielder | Jackson, MS | East Central CC
Terrell comes to the Owls with two years of college experience and four years of high school experience. At ECCC, Terrell scored six goals and three assists and at Murrah he scored 14 goals and 17 assists. Because of his efforts on the JUCO level, he was to the MACJC All-State team and the MACJC All-star team in 2019. He was also given the 2019 Team Golden Boot Award. As a Warrior, Terrell and his team made it to the MACJC playoffs also in 2019. Here at The W, Terrell will study culinary arts here at The W.
Paulo Carneiro | JR | Rio De Janeiro, Brazil | Camden County College
Paulo becomes an Owl after spending his first two years of college at Camden County College in New Jersey. He currently holds a 3.7 GPA and will study business administration here at The W.
Reggi Pech | JR | Midfielder / Forward | Meridian, MS | Jones College
Reggi joins the Owls men's soccer team after playing two seasons at Jones College and spending his high school career at Clarkdale High School. As a sophomore at JC, Reggi recorded one assist and six shots with two shots on goal for a .333 shot on goal percentage. He graduated high school with a 3.98 GPA and will study graphic design here at The W.
Osbaldo Gaytan | JR | Midfielder | Abasolo, Tamaulipas | Holmes CC
Osbaldo joins the Owls men's soccer team after playing two seasons at Holmes Community College and a high school career at Ridgeland High School. As a sophomore in 2019, Osbaldo played in 16 games with nine starts. In his freshman outing, he appeared in 15 games with one start. In high school, he was named to the 2018 MHSAA All-Star team and graduated with a 3.3 GPA. He will pursue business administration here at The W.
Luiz dos Santos | JR | Defender / Midfielder | Campo Grande, Brazil | Camden County College
Luiz dos Santos comes to the Owls with a plethora of experience. He played for Camden County College and Colégio Estadual Prof Paulo Alberto Tomazinho in high school. He was a three time top-scorer in the Metropolitan Champions of Campo Grande of Brazilian Fusal, he was named the best player twice, a three time champion, top-scorer in the state championship of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, vice scorer of the state championship, and twice best player in the state championship. Luiz was also named All-State First Team and Vice Brazilian Champion of Fusal for the All-State First team of Mato Grosoo do Sul, Brazil. He will study business administration.
Joseph Stewart | JR | Forward | Jackson, MS | East Central CC
Joseph comes to the Owls after spending the first part of his collegiate career at East Central Community College and his high school career at Callaway High School. As a Warrior, he played in 21 games with 14 starts for eight goals and five assists. He also tallied 25 shots with 15 shots on goal for a .600 shot on goal percentage. He also scored one game-winning goal. Joseph will study health care management here at The W.
Joao Schroeder | JR | Defender/ Midfielder | Clementon, NJ | Camden County College
Joao joins The W men's soccer team after playing at Camden County College and at Sagrado coração de Maria during his high school career. He will study business administration here at The W.
Jahon King | FR | Midfielder | Columbus, MS | Columbus HS
Jahon King is a local student-athlete who joins the Owls after spending his high school career at Columbus High School. As a Falcon, Jahon scored four goals during his senior season and was a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society , and Spanish Honor Society. He was a member of the band and graduated with a 3.779 GPA. He will study accounting here at The W.
Dalton Culpepper | SR | Jackson, MS | Belhaven / Southwest CC
Dalton Culpepper enters The W after playing one season at Belhaven and two seasons at Southwest Community College. While at Southwest CC, he was named to the MACJC Academic First Team and NJCAA Academic First Team. He graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA and currently holds a collegiate GPA of 3.8. He will study mathematics here at The W.
Clayton Sanders | FR | Forward | Philadelphia, MS | Neshoba Central HS
Clayton comes to the Owls with four years of high school experience. At Neshoba Central, he scored 80 goals with 22 assists. He had a career best 29 goals and six assists his junior year and he scored 27 goals with five assists his senior year. Clayton was named All-Region First Team as a junior, named to the North Team in the MAC All-Star game in 2020, selected to the 2019 Premier Preps Boys Soccer Team, and selected to the 2020 Premier Preps Boys Soccer Team. He was team captain his junior and senior year, received the 2017-18 Most Valuable Offense Award, and the 2018-19 Most Valuable Player Award. He graduated with a 4.15 GPA was a Mississippi Scholar, graduated with special distinction, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. He will study nursing here at The W.
Joshua Snowball | JR | Foward | Leicester, UK | West Alabama
Josh joins the Owls after playing at UWA and Northwest Kansas Technical College. At UWA, he played in four games with one goal and at NKTC he played in 11 games with four starts for one goal. He will finish a degree in exercise science here at The W.
Cameron Donaldson | JR | Forward | Byram, MS | Northwest MS CC
Cam Donaldson joins the Owls men's soccer team after beginning his collegiate career at Northwest Mississippi Community College. In two seasons, Donaldson played in 25 games with 5 starts. He scored one goal with 14 shots and 8 on goal for a .571 shot on goal percentage. He will study exercise science here at The W.
