COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W women's soccer program searches for its first win of the season, hosting Centenary College (La.) on Monday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. CT at Sprint Mart Field at the Columbus Soccer Complex. The contest will be live streaming with live stats on OwlsAthletics.com.
Attendance at Sprint Mart Field is limited to a player guest and coach guest pass list only, but fans are encouraged to follow along through live scoring on OwlsAthletics.com.
The Owls holds a 0-4-0 record after hosting NCAA Division II opponent Delta State University on Wednesday, Feb. 10, vs. University of West Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 7, at the University of the Ozarks on Friday, Feb. 5, and opening the season against Mississippi College on Saturday, Jan. 30.
Despite facing three out of four opponents from a more competitive division, the Owls have produced some notable stats.
For the third straight week, senior goalkeeper
Sarah Gilliland ranks high in several goalkeeping categories among those who compete in the USCAA. Gilliland has tallied 15 saves for a .652 save percentage.
She is trailed by fellow Owls keeper
Caitlyn Fox. Fox ranks fifth in the USCAA in saves with 11 on the season for a .550 save percentage.
The Ladies are 2-0-0 this spring, with a recent victory over Piedmont College and an overtime victor over LeTourneau University.
