Box Score LaGRANGE, Ga. – For the second-consecutive match, the Mississippi University for Women women's soccer team saw its offense held in check as it was shutout, 5-0, at LaGrange College. The Owls fell to 3-2-1 on the year, while the Panthers improved to 3-1-1.
The W played LC fairly even, statistically, with the exception of where it mattered the most: on the scoreboard. LaGrange had 17 total shots, with 12 on-goal. MUW had 15 shots attempts, with 10 going on frame.
The Panthers opened scoring in the 10th minute. The hosts then put two quick goals past MUW goalie
Olivia Clark in the 27th and 29th minutes. The first came on a rebound put-back of an uncontrolled save and another after Clark came off her line, leaving an open net to make it 3-0 at the half.
La Grange added a pair of second half tallies for the 5-0 final.
Junior forward
Adrianna Parsons was the Owls' top attacking threat. Parsons had seven of the team's total shots, putting five directly on goal. No other MUW player had more than two shot attempts.
Clark finished the day with seven saves and was charged with all five goals.
