CLINTON, Miss. -  The W capped the 2024 cross country season with two members of its women's program – Hannah Owens and Kalee Sanders – competing in the NCAA III South Region meet at the Topper Trails course. 
 
Owens, a sophomore from Olive Branch, Mississippi, completed the six-kilometer course in a time of 25:48.83 minutes. That was good for 99th place, overall, out of the 169-runner field.
 
Sanders, a senior from Saltillo, Miss., covered the 6K course in a time of 30:02.92 minutes. She crossed the line in 154th place in the final standings.
 
Both runners were making their second appearance - in as many seasons – in the NCAA III regional race. In 2023 - MUW's first as a full NCAA member - Owens placed 96th and Sanders was 155th.
