Congratulations to our OWL OF THE WEEK for October 27-November 2: Hannah Owens of women's cross country. Owens (Olive Branch, Miss.), a junior, hit the tape of the six-kilometer women's race in a school-record time of 25:35.12 minutes, good for an eighth-place finish in the 50-runner field. That lopped better than seven seconds off of her previous school standard, set as a freshman in 2023. It also marked the 17th consecutive race – every event of her MUW career – that Owens has been the Owls' top finisher.
