Congratulations to our Owl of the Week for the period of September 15-21: Hannah Owens of women's cross country.  Hannah set a school record in the women's five-kilometer race to highlight The W's efforts at the Rhodes College Invitational. She bested her own MUW mark for the 5K by turning in a time of 21:37.49 minutes. That lopped better than three seconds off of her previous mark of 21:41.10, set as a freshman in 2023. She was 58th out of 107 runners at Rhodes. Hannah also extended her streak of being the Owls' top finisher to 15 consecutive races: that's every event she has run for The W in her two-plus seasons.
