BELLEVILLE, Ill. -  The W's Hannah Owens has been voted as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) women's cross country Runner of the Week in the first SLIAC awards of the 2025 season.
 
Competing versus a predominately NCAA Division I field at the Jacksonville State University Foothills Invitational last Friday (August 29), Owens kept her streak alive of being MUW's top finisher – now at 13 straight- of every race she has run for The W.
 
Owens, a junior from Olive Branch, Mississippi, hit the tape of the women's 5K in a time of 21:41.36 minutes. That was good for 91st out 177 competitors. Her time was less than three-10ths of a second off of her own 5K school record (set on September 16, 2023).
